Following discussion, during which Darren Millar expressed concern about Stage 2 proceedings taking place on the same day as the debate on the Final Budget 2024-25, Business Committee agreed to allocate meeting slots after the conclusion of Plenary on 5 March and 6 March to the Committee of the Whole Senedd for Stage 2 proceedings on the Bill.
The Trefnydd indicated that Government business on 5 March would be limited to essential items.
The Committee also agreed:
· that non-government business for Plenary on Wednesday 6 March be limited to Questions to the Senedd Commission, Topical Questions, 90 Second Statements, and the Short Debate;
· to consider nearer the time whether Plenary should start earlier on 5 and 6 March;
· to allocate a meeting slot to the Committee of the Whole Senedd immediately after Plenary on 20 February for the purposes of considering any motion proposed by the Llywydd, as Chair of the Committee of the Whole Senedd, in respect of the order of consideration for Stage 2 proceedings on the Bill.
